MORE than 500 people flocked to a Hampshire village for its first Christmas lights trail.
North Baddesley Infant School organised the festivities, with help from sponsor SJT Services.
Lauren Denham, from North Baddesley Infant School, said: “As well as a magical light trail, we held a raffle, had free face painting, games, make your own reindeer food, music from 14th Eastleigh Scout and Guide band The Spitfires, hot dogs, drinks and cakes.
“There were 10 trees on the trail each decorated by our classes and nursery. The trees had a letters that spelt out a word. At the end of the trail Father Christmas was on hand to reward our attendees with a chocolate lolly for working out the word.
“The aim of this event was to put on a reasonably priced light trail. Light trails have become the festive thing of the season and whilst they’re great the can be expensive.
“This event was open to the general public and not just families from the school. We had more than 500 in attendance and it was sold out.
“Thank you to all the local businesses who donated to our raffle.”
