A man has appeared in court over an incident at a home in Totton.
The 39-year-old was arrested at 11pm on Sunday after police were called to an incident in Rumbridge Street shortly after 8pm.
Marcus Hearn, of Mortimer Close, Totton was then charged with assault causing GBH, aggravated dwelling burglary, and common assault of an emergency worker.
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning.
Having entered no plea to each of the three charges, Hearn has been remanded in custody and is set to next appear at Southampton Crown Court on Friday, January 12.
A 22-year-old man, from Southampton, and a 50-year-old woman, from Totton, were also arrested on suspicion of assault causing GBH, in connection with the same incident.
They have both since been released on conditional bail, pending further enquiries.
