Three people have been arrested after suspected drugs were found during a raid on a property. 

Suspected Class A drugs, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia were seized at the property in Chaffinch Close, Totton yesterday afternoon. 

The warrant was executed at around 2.30pm with officers from the Totton Neighbourhood Policing Team, method of entry officers and a dog unit. 

Now a 42-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman both from Totton and a 42-year-old man from Marchwood have all been arrested. 

They were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

All three have since been released from custody but remain under investigation. 

New Forest East Inspector, Linda Davies said: “What we saw yesterday was an example of exceptional local policing. This was a really positive operation by our teams and certainly won’t be our last.

“We have taken more illegal drugs off the streets and will continue to deal with those dealing, possessing and using illegal drugs.

“Drug-related activity will not be tolerated in our communities. Warrants, such as this one, are just one of the ways we can tackle the problem.

“We will continue to relentlessly pursue and deal with those who are causing harm in our towns.

“As we always say, we can only do what we do with the support and help of the community itself.

“The information we receive from the public is vital to us being able to carry out warrants and tackle illegal activity across Totton and the New Forest.

“Please continue to let us know of drug-related activity in the area in which you live, so we can allocate our resources to effectively and robustly deal with it.”
