There are now more than 90 members and the men's squad are playing in Division 2 of the Solent Area Basketball Association.
Totton Sharks are looking to boost their women's and under 16 boys teams.
Coach Carl Riley set up the team after discovering a gap in provision when his own children wanted to go further than shooting hoops in the park.
He said: "We have some great players, and some people who just want to enjoy the sport. There's a real mix of abilities and it's great fun.
"We love that we're bringing basketball to people in this area."
