A ROMSEY man has been hit with a 12-month ban after he was caught more than three times over the drug drive limit.
Alistair Aikman, of Bransley Close, was stopped in a BMW on Twyford Road in Eastleigh on Saturday, June 3, a court heard.
When tested for cannabis his reading was 7ug/l when the legal limit is 2ug/l.
Aikman, 30, pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 5.
As well as a 12-month driving ban, he must pay a fine of £600, costs of £85 and a surcharge of £240, by Saturday, November 4.
