A man who stole over £150 worth of meat was chased through the street by police.
Officers detained the man on Saturday after suspecting he had stolen from Tesco in Hythe.
A search uncovered £153.67 worth of meat which was seized and returned to the store from which it came.
The man was reported for summons.

In an online post, officers said: “Often, when large quantity of items such as meat are stolen in this fashion, it is not for a weekend barbeque.
“Sometimes it is to fund certain habits.
“Support is available and regularly offered to those identified to be at risk of drug related harm.”
