AN investigation remains ongoing after a man covered in blood and wearing just his underwear broke into a couple's home.
Police were called to Jean Sleep and Matt Drain's North Baddesley bungalow after receiving multiple calls of break-ins on June 2.
The intruder burst through the glass back door and was bleeding profusely and screaming.
At the time, Matt described the incident as 'a scene from a horror movie' and officers confirmed with the Echo that the man was not arrested but was taken to a hospital to be treated for 'serious injuries'.

Today, a spokesperson for the force said: "This incident does remain under investigation, and our enquiries into what took place are ongoing."
Matt and Jean's house looked like something out of a "nightmare" in the aftermath of the incident.

The intruder's blood stains were left everywhere, with smeared hand prints all over their walls and staircase, blood-soaked floors, ruined furniture, and soiled towels, bedding, and pillows.
In fact, there was so much blood that the couple was forced to take HIV tests.
