Once nominations are received, a discerning judging panel will review them. In some cases, the nominees may undergo a "mystery shopper" visit by the category sponsor, adding an element of excitement to the process. The judges will announce the three finalists in each category on Tuesday, November 14th, and reveal the category winners on Tuesday, November 28th, through the esteemed Daily Echo and dailyecho.co.uk.

The winners of each category will be awarded £500 worth of advertising in the Daily Echo or on dailyecho.co.uk, showcasing their accomplishments to a wider audience. They will also be featured in the category winners' coverage, bringing well-deserved recognition to their hard work and dedication.

Among the prestigious accolades is the "Best New Business" award, which acknowledges a business that has been launched within the past two years and has already achieved remarkable success. The judges are searching for a clearly conveyed business idea, specific achievements, and evidence of positive change within the last 12 months or a strategy for future growth within the next 12 months.

However, the awards encompass more than just the Best New Business category. There are several other categories that recognise excellence in different areas, such as the Innovation Excellence Award, Service Excellence Award, Employer Award, Entrepreneur Award, Business Leader Award, Small Business Award, Mid-Large Business Award, Business and the Community Award, and Use of Technology Award.
