Police have shut a main road leading to Red Funnel's ferry terminal in Southampton.
An 'ongoing incident' has led to the closure of Town Quay from Bugle Street, to the High Street.
Those travelling have been warned to avoid the area.
It is not known how long the closures will be in place for.
Red Funnel's Red Jet foot passenger service and its vehicle ferry are situated just off Town Quay.
