A MAN arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Shirley is one of the three who sustained stab wounds during the incident.
A man described the moment he found two people "covered in blood" outside his front door on Friday night.
The pair, a man and a woman in their 20s, were allegedly attacked inside a house in Stafford Road at around 10pm.
Residents spoke of their shock at the news.
They were taken to hospital alongside a man in his 50s who suffered a stab wound to his stomach.
The man in his 20s suffered serious cuts to his hand and the woman in her 20s suffered a cut to her face.
All three were taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
Police were called shortly before 10pm to reports of a number of serious assaults inside a property.
They stayed in the area throughout Saturday carrying out inquiries.
