SOUTHAMPTON residents don’t have long to wait until they come together for their street parties to celebrate King Charles III’s Coronation next weekend.
Southampton City Council has confirmed to the Daily Echo that there will be 46 road closures in place over the Coronation weekend – as residents safely enjoy the festivities.
The three-day bank holiday weekend marking the coronation will take place from May 6 to May 8, with The Coronation Big Lunch taking place on the Saturday – an initiative made possible by The National Lottery.
The special event brings millions of people together annually to boost community spirit and reduce loneliness.
