TWO new affordable houses are about to be handed over to Fareham residents.
The new Fareham Housing development on Queens Road provides two three-bedroom homes to be made available at a social rent.
They have already been allocated to people from the borough council’s housing register, who are expected to move in soon.
The homes are wheelchair accessible and energy-efficient, with features such as solar panels and air source heat pumps to provide heating and hot water.
Fareham Housing teamed up with Southampton-based Daintree Developments to deliver the project.
Cllr Connie Hockley, executive member for housing, said: "Affordable housing in Fareham is much needed, so I am delighted that this new development is almost ready to welcome new tenants.
"I am extremely impressed with these energy-efficient homes and would like to thank Daintree Developments and officers from Fareham Housing for making this possible."
