Asda has issued a recall on one of its products due to a possible microbiological contamination risk.
The supermarket has taken the “precautionary action” to recall its Asda White Lasagne Sauce because of the risk, which has occurred due to a production fault.
The issue only affects products sold at Asda stores in the Northwest of England, the North Midlands and North Wales.
It impacts all Asda White Lasagne Sauce products with a pack size of 480g and a best before date of February 3, 2024.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) warned that the potential contamination made the product unsafe to eat.
A spokesman said: “Asda is recalling the above product from affected stores only. Point of sale notices will only be displayed in affected Asda stores.
“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product.
“If you have bought the above product do not eat it.
“Instead, return it to the Asda store from where it was bought for a full refund, no receipt required.
“If you would like any further information, please contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101.”
What is a product recall?
If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
The FSA issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices and Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.
In some cases, a 'Food Alert for Action' is issued.
This provides local authorities with details of specific actions to be taken on behalf of consumers.
