5:52pm

Thanks for joining us today. Ultimately going away disappointed that Saints couldn't get all three points but that was an enjoyable game and Tino showed his class.

We will be back again on Tuesday with updates from the EFL Cup last 16 visit to Chelsea. Interesting to see what type of side Hasenhuttl names. Enjoy your weekend, Saints.

4:18pm

Ralph's post-match press conference coming up soon, what would you ask him?

FULL REPORT

3:52pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Saints control the ball during injury time but are unable to carve any chances. Finishes all square in an entertaining contest, but will no doubt be some rather big tinges of disappointment.

3:51pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Not long now...

3:48pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Four minutes of additional time.

3:46pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Final change and A. Armstrong is on for Redmond for the remaining couple of minutes.

3:45pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

The visitors break and nerves start to jangle but between the slide of Romeu and dive of McCarthy, Saints are able to gather.

3:41pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Shots being popped from everywhere now. Livramento, Redmond and Diallo have all had cracks from outside the area but nothing that can beat Pope.

3:38pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Yellow card for Elyounoussi for a soft foul in the Saints half.

3:37pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Another sub for Hasenhuttl. Adams comes on for goalscorer Broja, who gets a standing ovation - ten minutes of regulation time to find a winner.

3:34pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Bit of a penalty shout for Saints but nothing given. Elyounoussi goes down very easily under a push from Collins.

3:32pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

There's the movement from the bench. S. Armstrong is on for Walcott. Gets a loud cheer and applause, Stu.

3:30pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

It's a third yellow card for Burnley, this time Westwood goes into the referee's book for a foul near the Saints area.

3:27pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

And Rodriguez gets booked almost immediately for clattering Elyounoussi. 20' to go.

3:26pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Former Saint Rodriguez is on for Burnley who make the first change, replacing Cork. No changes for Saints despite Walcott needed treatment for a knock a moment ago.

3:22pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Saints won this same fixture 3-2 back in April... They're lucky not to be one behind, Westwood going just wide.

3:21pm
3:15pm

Saints 2 Burnley 2

Out of nowhere, it's a Cornet equaliser. A ball is nodded forward and Cornet seemingly shields it from Bednarek while it bounces, then hits it first-time on the turn from outside the area and it bounces past a scrambling McCarthy into the corner.

3:08pm

Saints 2 Burnley 1

What a start to the half! A misplaced pass is picked off by Diallo and he sends Broja in to score from a narrowing angle! Saints lead.

3:03pm

Saints 1 Burnley 1

Back under way for the second half. Let's go.

3:02pm

Saints 1 Burnley 1

In the carnage leading up to the equaliser, Cork was booked.

2:49pm

Saints 1 Burnley 1

That's that for the half. Might regret saying this but I'm immensely excited for this second period. What a player Livramento is, my word. Thoughts on that?

2:46pm

Saints 1 Burnley 1

Two minutes of additional play at the end of this half. Saints will be hugely encouraged - they could be three up!

2:42pm

Saints 1 Burnley 1

WOW! What an end to this half! Livramento sneaks in for a corner and heads home a Redmond delivery. Well deserved.

2:40pm

Saints 0 Burnley 1

This is an onslaught. Livramento now takes his turn to shoot from inside the area and it cannons off the post and back along the goal line. I can't believe Saints aren't level...

2:40pm

Saints 0 Burnley 1

Well. That's the chance. A ball is fizzed into the back-post by Livramento and Redmond puts wide from three yards.

2:38pm

Saints 0 Burnley 1

Big chance falls to Walcott. It's a cross in from the left to Broja and he who are unmarked at first, but they get in each others way a bit but Walcott shoots low and narrowly wide of the post.

Soton Saint says

Time to show some character and win a game from 1-0 down. Burnley will park the bus and wait for the crowd to get frustrated, we knew this game was going to be tough, but this Saints team should still beat Burnley.

2:34pm

Saints 0 Burnley 1

It's a strong save from McCarthy to deny Wood from inside the area. A slick one-touch move from the visitors opened Saints up there.

2:32pm
2:30pm

Saints 0 Burnley 1

A looping header from Elyounoussi on the edge of the area just clips the woodwork on its way behind the goal.

2:26pm

Saints 0 Burnley 1

Another Broja chance inside the area but he can't get a clean connection on his first-time prod. It's blocked and cleared.

2:22pm

Saints 0 Burnley 1

Chance for Saints. A drive from Livramento ends up at Broja's feet on the edge of the six-yard box, but he's facing the wrong way and by the time he turns is crowded out. Starting to respond now.

That goal was a disappointing one to concede. Saints were very deep and it's a ball from quite a way out, but there seems to be nobody around Cornet and he's able to climb with ease. Shaky since the goal went on, despite a decent start.

2:14pm

Saints 0 Burnley 1

Cornet opens for the visitors with a header from inside the area. Looked like a cross from Lowton. Slightly against the run of play, to be honest.

2:10pm

Saints 0 Burnley 0

Hasenhuttl has just called Elyounoussi over and delivered him some tactics and words of encouragement. Would love to know what managers say in those kinds of scenarios.

2:08pm

Saints 0 Burnley 0

Broja shows how quick he really is - rapid - with some superb pressing on Pope's goal. The keeeper clears but the Chelsea loanee is very, very quick.

2:04pm

Saints 0 Burnley 0

Saints get the first free-kick as Collins blocks McCarthy's kick out from his hands. Walcott was steaming forward on the counter.

2:00pm

Saints 0 Burnley 0

Redmond gets us under way here at St Mary's. Come on.

I know that this year has felt like it's gone quickly, but I appear to have forgotten it's nearly November. Just a jumper for me and I am freezing... rookie.

Tony in Liberia says

Jordan checking in. Good looking team. I'm guessing Stuart Armstrong still isn't ready for a full 90 minutes, but he'll be good to come on for the last 30 minutes or so to run at Burnley and shake them up. I would've tried the Tino/KWP combo down the right if it had been me, but if they kick on from the Leeds game we should get three points and be looking up nicely come 5 pm. Or 7 pm here. And Swiss Saint, what's this about an international package? Sounds like ti could be something I'd be interested in!

1:26pm

TALE OF THE TAPE

As mentioned, Burnley are still winless and remain in the bottom three after eight games played with just three points.

Saints were victorious 3-2 in the corresponding fixture during last season, back in April - they also won 1-0 at Turf Moor.

But before that it was a run of seven games without victory againt Dyche's Burnley... What will we get today?
