Just because we're very proud
Now's the time to remind everyone which academy Luke Shaw came from, isn't it?
— Nick Thompson (@NickThompson20) July 3, 2021
It was ours. Southampton. Luke Shaw. That was his home. And now, football's coming home.

GGGGGGGOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
All smiles at half time! But Mike Lee (second from right) is the first person I’ve spoken to that isn’t happy with the score! “Against a team like Ukraine we should be destroying them by now. I’d like to see at least 3-0 at full time. Anything less would be shameful” #ENGUKR pic.twitter.com/YLzzewYdNg

Greg Read on the far right told us: “A semi-final at Wembley would be massive for the country.
"We need it after the year we’ve had.”
When asked about his predictions he said: “We’ve scored a bit too early. We need another goal to calm the nerves”
England’s defeat of Germany was in front of a home crowd. Josh (far right) thinks England will “rise to the occasion” in Rome tonight with a 3-0 win @dailyecho #ENGUKR #Euro2021 pic.twitter.com/eZHgVzNK5s

CATCH UP:
There was confusion when Ukraine took kick-off as England players took the knee.
Four minutes later Andriy Shevchenko’s men were kicking off from the centre-circle once more as the Three Lions enjoyed a dream start by taking the lead.
Southgate’s men were on the front foot from the outset and, shortly after Mason Mount saw penalty claims ignored, Sterling superbly slipped Harry Kane behind the Ukrainian backline to direct past Georgiy Bushchan.
