AREAS of Southampton are at risk of flooding due to high tides and Storm Ciara.
Weston Shore promenade has already experienced flooding today and more areas are expected to be affected,
Tidal areas of the Hamble estuary, including Hamble, Bursledon and Warsash are all at risk of flooding,
The tide at 11.34am and 1.39pm is higher than usual due to high winds and rainfall brought by the storm.
The total forecast tide is 5.38 meters for Southampton.
Other coastal areas across the south coast are also at risk of flooding:
- Eling Tide Mill, Eling Lane and properties close to the River Test in Testwood.
Road flooding is expected at:
- Ashlett Creek.
- Calshot Activity Centre.
- Hythe sea front, Promenade, Shore Road and High Street.
- Magazine Lane in Marchwood.
- Woodmill Lane, Priory Road and St Deny's in Southampton.
- Hamble Quay and Rope Walk.
- Shore Road in Warsash.
- Outbuildings at Fawley Refinery.
- Boatyards in Bursledon and Swanwick.
