THE route for Southampton Marathon 2019 has been revealed.
Many runners will be aiming for personal best times at the run, which will be held on exactly the same route as the 2018 event.
This includes the Itchen Bridge, Weston Shore, a run through St Mary's, and a look through Riverside Park and Southampton Common.
But although the route is the same, those taking part can look forward to a brand-new stage on the far side of the Itchen Bridge.

There will also be "cheer points" along the route including Naomi House's bus in the city centre, Macmillan Cancer Support in Riverside Park, and Southampton Hospital Charity on the common.
Toilets will be placed at each water station along the course.
Nikki said: “We are happy to announce that our routes this year will remain the same, but we have increased the entertainment areas around the route to encourage and motivate our participants as they run.
"We have been overwhelmed at the amazing support received from Southampton residents each year with handing our jelly babies, lots of cheering and even some brilliant homemade banners to motivate the runners round the route!
"Due to no changes in our routes this year runners have a chance to beat last years time and achieve a PB.
"New to this year we have SPROUTS childcare with us, offering day care for children aged 2 years+ in our charity village.
"So, for any parents that want to run together but have been struggling to find childcare, visit the childcare page on our website to register.”
