IT’S time to ring in the New Year with our guide to ten top things to do in Hampshire this long weekend, which waves farewell to 2017 and welcomes 2018...

1 In Hampshire cinemas...

Roll up and rock out for director Michael Gracey’s hyperkinetic, foot-stomping musical based on the topsy-turvy life of circus impresario and master of shameless self-promotion Phineas Taylor Barnum (Hugh Jackman).

Razzle smooches dazzle in every breathlessly choreographed, crowd-pleasing frame of this rags-to-riches fairytale set to a wickedly infectious score composed by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who pirouetted away with Oscars for La La Land. The duo should clear the mantelpiece for more golden statuettes.

2 At Mayflower Theatre...

BECOME one of 50,000 expected to enjoy the South Coast’s biggest pantomime as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs continues until next weekend.

Starring Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood as the Wicked Queen, television legends The Chuckle Brothers as the Wicked Queen’s bumbling Henchmen, and Britain’s Got Talent finalists Flawless as the Wicked Queen’s attendants. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs boasts an abundance of comedy, sensational song and dance numbers, fab-u-lous costumes and stunning scenery.

Throw in a magical mirror, seven friendly dwarfs, a beautiful princess and a handsome prince.
