FROM films to food and trains to cars, it's a busy weekend for Hampshire's many attractions.

Here's our pick of the top ten things to do with the family this weekend

(1)) At Eastleigh Lakeside Railway...

THOMAS the Tank Engine fans are in for a treat in Eastleigh this weekend on a Day Out with Thomas tomorrow and Sunday.

Thomas, Henry and Gordon will be pulling the trains around Lakeside Country Park, supervised by The Fat Controller.

The day, which gets under way at 10am, includes unlimited rides on all trains until 4.30pm, magic shows and entertainment with Rusty the station sweeper.

Young fans can get involved in the Imagination Station with dressing up box, colouring, games and toys.

Sing a long and enjoy interactive story time with the Fat Controller, help him give Thomas, Henry and Gordon water and mend Henry's whistle.

There will be a balloon modeller on site and the shop stocks a large range of Thomas models.

(2) At Beaulieu....

THE National Motor Museum’s legendary Lotus 49 will be started up at the International Autojumble this weekend to mark 50 years of the popular event which began life in the same year that the car was built.

The F1 car will roar into life on Sunday at 3pm in front of the museum as part of the weekend event. The legendary racing car, which was built in 1967 with chassis number 3, was famously campaigned by Graham Hill and is one of the most iconic racers of its generation. The roar of its 2993cc V8 engine is sure to impress show-goers.

The International Autojumble celebrated its 50th event in 2016. From humble beginnings, the show has grown to become an unmissable date on classic car enthusiasts’ calendars with more than 2,000 stands offering motoring spares, accessories and automobilia.

A Bonhams sale of collectors’ cars and automobilia also takes place on Saturday.

Automart is sure to have enthusiasts reaching for their wallets, with up to 200 classic cars for sale on the Events Arena, while the automotive temptations continue in Dealermart with a range of first-class classics for sale by dealers.

Sunday will welcome Trunk Traders to the event fields, as jumblers sell off their unwanted motoring items from the boots of their cars. There are sure to be plenty of bargains laid across the traders’ trestle tables.

International Autojumble event tickets include access to all of the Beaulieu attraction.

(3) At the Concorde Club...

IT was once owned by former Beatle Paul McCartney and now it will have pride of place at a popular Hampshire car show.

With its unique 64 Mac number plate the shining Aston Martin DB5 will be part of a bumper line up of vintage, classic and modern supercars at The Concorde Classics Car Show on Sunday.

Macca ordered the Aston Martin DB5 fresh off the production line after the Fab 4 were at the height of their fame and had just finished the filming A Hard Day's Night.

The iconic DB5, which is finished in Sierra Blue with a black leather interior, was also made famous by the James Bond movie Goldfinger.

It is the ninth year that the Concorde charity classic, sports and super car spectacular, which attracts petrol heads from miles around, has been held in the grounds of the Stoneham Lane club.

The show is a money raiser for the Naomi House and Jacksplace Children’s Hospices near Winchester and over the years more than £67,000 has been clocked up for the charity.

If you ever dreamed of getting behind the wheel of a classic motor the Sporting Bears charity will be running ride outs in a large and dazzling array of cars.

Also planned is a display of Gorden Keebles, Eastleigh’s very own supercars which rolled off the production line in the sixties.

There will be a large traders’ marquee, BBQ and a music playing throughout the day.

Meet the Stig and a giant Scaletrix will set the fastest time around the track.

(4) At Romsey Food Festival...

ROMSEY will be bursting with local produce on Sunday when the annual Food Festival takes over the streets,

More than 60 stalls full of the very best of Hampshire food and drink will be showcased.

That will include more than 25 Hampshire Farmers’ Market members in Romsey’s Alma Road selling everything from bread to beer.

There will also be plenty of seasonal produce to peruse, including meat from Newhouse Venison and Hampshire Game.

Plus shoppers can take their pick from the best fruit and vegetables from Berry Hill Nursery and DGJ Tanner.

And gin lovers will also be able to sample a taste of some of Hampshire’s best gins as the Winchester Distillery and Silent Pool Distillery will both be there on the day.

New for this year, HFM will be welcoming executive chef at The Season Cookery School Andy MacKenzie who is running three cookery workshops on the day at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm. He will demonstrate the method and then three lots of two people will replicate the dish in 30 minutes.

All that cooking and shopping will no doubt make visitors peckish, and HFM has that covered too as New House Venison as well as Broughton Water Buffalo will be serving delicious hot food at their stalls.

(5) At Winchester Cathedral...

Jane Austen died in Winchester in 1817 and was buried in the north aisle of the Cathedral.

A special hour long tour tomorrow at 10am offers visitors an intimate and often amusing insight into her life and connections with the Cathedral.

The tour will include a walk through the Cathedral's historic Inner Close to the house on College Street where Jane and Cassandra stayed during their time in Winchester.

(6) At Hamble Valley Festival of Food...

A POPULAR food festival is set to return to Hamble this weekend.

There will be lots of local produce and activities at Hampshire Farmers’ Markets' Food Festival tomorrow.

Celebrating its third anniversary, the event is organised by The Marketing Collective Ltd which manages the Hamble Valley destination brand.

Their aim is to promote the best in local food and drink suppliers, restaurants, pubs and food shops, and offer a family fun-filled day of tasty events for residents and visitors.

There is plenty of entertainment planned on the quay front, including Punch and Judy and arts and crafts with BellaCrafts, who will be pebble painting along with balloon modelling of fish, anchors and pirate swords.

The Hamble Valley Heritage Guides will provide a guided walk around the village plus there will be a free heritage talk on Frank Austen and shipbuilding on the River Hamble.

Taking place on the village green will be a fun dog show with Hamble Hounds, plus a chance to meet the Guide Dogs for Southampton.

It will be at Hamble’s Foreshore Car Park from 10am to 4pm.

(7) At Chilworth Manor...

MOVIES at the manor continues tonight with Mamma Mia.

Donna (Meryl Streep), an independent hotelier in the Greek islands, is preparing for her daughter's wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile Sophie, the spirited bride, has a plan. She secretly invites three men from her mother's past in hope of meeting her real father and having him escort her down the aisle on her big day.

The sing a long 2008 favourite also stars Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Julie Walters.

(8) At Southampton Clock Tower...

CLOCK Tower Tours take place on the first Saturday of the month.

Climb Southampton’s iconic Clock Tower; find out more about its history and enjoy top views!

Participants must be over 12 years old, be physically fit, and should wear sensible shoes as there are over 200 steps to climb.

(9) Around Southampton's historic walls...

DISCOVER the fascinating history of Southampton, from Saxon times to the present day. Hear stories and legends and have history brought to life.

Walk around our historic walls, enter inside some of our medieval vaults and feel the atmosphere of the past. Southampton has more medieval vaults than anywhere else in England.

(10) At Tichborne Park, Alresford...

ENJOY a great day out for all the family at Alresford Agricultural Show.

Events include The Sheep Show, pig racing, a display of vintage machinery and the grand parade of champion livestock.

Youngsters will love the Punch & Judy show, Juggling Jake and the ferret racing.

There's everything from carriage driving to a horticultural show and your much-loved mutt can take part in the companion dog show.

A host of locally produced food and drink will be available close to the arenas, which also include poultry and bees and honey shows, 150 trade stands, a parade of hounds, beagles and bloodhounds, a craft tent, heavy horse classes, birds of prey and much more.
