AFTER months of preparation and planning the Daily Echo is proud to announce the finalists in our first ever Education Awards.
Hampshire and Southampton’s education chiefs have been deliberating over the nominations and have whittled down dozens of entries to just three finalists in each category.
Today we reveal the names of those invited to a glittering awards ceremony at top Southampton hotel the Grand Harbour on May 11.
Those selected are the cream of the region’s education professionals and have been nominated for their dedication, commitment – for inspiring the region’s children to do their best in some of the most important years of their lives.
On the judging panel were Councillor Peter Edgar, head of education for Hampshire County Council, and Cllr Darren Paffey, head of education for Southampton City Council – as well as the Daily Echo’s promotions executive Jo Richardson and assistant Debbie Bielby.
