SAM Allardyce has been appointed as manager of the England national football team.
Former Saints assistant Sammy Lee has been named as Allardyce's assistant, after leaving the club earlier this month.
Former Bolton and Newcastle manager Allardyce will take over after leaving Sunderland, who he led to Premier League survival last season.
