ZOO bosses were left with a few extra animals to account for when they carried out their annual animal audit.
Each year staff at Marwell Zoo carry out the animal count to keep an accurate check on all their animals at the attraction near Winchester.
But this year they had a few extra animals to account for in the form of a herd of Zany Zebra sculptures.
The sculptures will form a trail around Southampton City Centre this summer, following on from the success of the Go! Rhinos trail in 2013.
Scores of businesses and firms have once again signed up to sponsor a zebra sculpture which will be decorated before being put in position in a trail for the public to follow around the city.
The Zany Zebra event is being organised by Marwell Wildlife and is raising awareness and funds to help the endangered Grevy zebra, a species which the zoo supports through its conservation work.
