MOODY Frieda Jean (née Collins) Frieda passed away at home, surrounded by her loved ones on 3rd January 2024. Born in London on March 27, 1931 alongside her twin brother, Frank. Beloved mother of Stephen, Susan, Tim and Kate, mother-in-law to Andrew (Mears) and Kate (Thomas), sister, auntie to the Moody and Collins families and a friend to many. Frieda was a seafarer from her time working on the Queen Mary. She worked as an aide at Southampton General Hospital, was the proprietor of Collindale Lodge Guesthouse in Bournemouth and finished her working career with the nuns at the Redcote Convent in Bitterne. She was an avid theatre and music enthusiast, as well as a keen traveller, crossing the Atlantic to America many times to visit her twin brother in Keene, New Hampshire. To know her was to love her and to be loved by her. She is deeply missed, but resting peacefully. ---------------- The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday 22nd February 2024 at 12 noon at Wessex Vale Crematorium. Flowers welcome.
