Thank you , Laura. David loved it in Southampton. The New Forest area, the wildlife- he always loved animals as you know, and off course his motorbikes. he had set up home there with new family responsibilities , and worked as a motorcycle mechanic so he was in his element . The pain of this great shock never goes away, forever in our thoughts

thanks again for your tribute. Martin and Jo (parents)

I have only just heard of Dave's passing. We were very good friends a long time ago when he lived in Stourport on Severn. Always such a wonderful, funny, interesting guy. I am so saddened to hear that he isn't with us anymore and I send all my love to his family.

Dave once tried to convince me that in Scotland there are two sheep on a mountain. They live on opposite sides of the mountain. One sheep it’s left legs are shorter than the right and the other sheep it’s right legs are shorter than the left ones. So they spend the year walking in circles around the mountain. Once a year they finally meet, they mate and that’s how haggis is made.

We would go on little bike rides to random pubs. Ones that you had to walk through the bookcase to get to the bathroom. We would talk music, waffle about leather and how to care for it, get into random debates, go to bike meets and ride outs, eat drink and just be happy.

When I think of Dave, I think of his laugh. How he would let meena sleep in his dreads so they would smell like ferret 😂 he would take beads he likes off of toilet handles to put in his hair … the day he shaved them off and his head went down two helmet sizes - just love and laughter. Dave was love. I will miss him very dearly.
