JOIN CBeebies' Mister Maker in his hit live theatre tour on Sunday at Mayflower Theatre.

With a fabulous supporting cast and art at its heart, this fantastic live show encourages Mini Makers and grown-ups to sing, dance and make some noise!

There's a big ‘make’ to take part in, lots of audience participation and....The Shapes! Yes, you’ll be able to share the fun with Circle, Square, Rectangle and Triangle too.

We caught up with Mister Maker as he prepared to set Mini Makers on a real arty adventure.

Q) How did you become Mister Maker? Who were you before?

A) "I have always been Mister Maker! Even from an early age, I have always loved arts and crafts and making things."

Q) What is your favourite thing about being Mister Maker?

A) "One of the things that makes me most proud is that wherever we perform our live show, children and grown-ups give us such a warm and excited response. It is heart-warming to hear the reactions of the crowd and I am so thankful for their support."

Q) What sort of things do you like to do when you are not being Mister Maker?

A) "I am away from home a lot, so seeing my family is important to me. I go walking with my Dad...or have a cup of tea with Mum! I love watching football and cricket but don't get much time to do it these days. My local team is Gillingham and I try to watch as many games as I can, home and away."

Q) Who is your favourite Shape and why?

A) "I could never choose a favourite – I love them all. I think I’m most like Rectangle though…because I am so tall and I bounce around like him!"

Q) Do you make things in your spare time?

A) "Yes because I am always preparing for my next show! My house is covered in glitter, sticky tape and googly eyes...but I don't mind, because arts and craft has become my life. Being Mister Maker is a fantastic job because when I'm not touring, I put my producer hat on and work on our next show, song or arty creation!"

Q) When was the last time you cried?

A) "The last time I cried was …. (happy tears)…when I heard A-ha play ‘Take on Me’ live at the 02 in London. It reminded me of good times in the 1980s as a little lad. That was the first record I ever bought."
