After the quick-fix thrill of bullets flying past your ears in conflict-focused first-person shooters, it's sometimes nice to pull back a little and take more of a tactical approach to the art of war.
Here, in this turn-based strategy game, you'll follow the paths of General George Patton during the Second World War, leading your troops to battle while traversing Western Europe's devastated land.
Prestige points are earned along the way and used to enhance your army, acquiring advanced weapons and gear for your gang. Four different types of missions: Attack, Defence, Infiltration and Sabotage provide a significant challenge, but newcomers to the genre are gently guided in the initial stages by a series of helpful tutorials.
Once you're up and running, you'll start to feel at one with your troops and, whether you're blasting through Belgium or firming up the beaches of France, at the end of the conflict, you'll know you've been part of a solid strategy experience.
