TWYFORD Waterworks hosts its last Open Day of the year with the annual 'Anything Goes' rally on Sunday, October 1.
Visitors will see models, trains, vintage vehicles, stationary engines including the recently restored 1906 Babcock and Wilcox boiler which next year will be powering a 1914 Hathorn Davey triple expansion engine for the Return To Steam.
This has been a long time coming and the waterworks intends to hold a Gala Opening next May to capture the feel of an Edwardian pumping station in action.
The tearoom will be open for refreshments for those who want a break from the Industrial Railway, Lime Kilns, Nature Trail and all the other delights this gem of the Hampshire countryside holds.
It is open from 11am-4pm, admission is £4 adults with under 16's free.
