Hampshire village fetes and other events: Twyford, Compton and Shawford news

Hampshire County Council has agreed to look into the feasibility of a bus service between Twyford and Eastleigh after the 61 bus service is withdrawn at the end of August. The first stage is to assess demand and travel patterns and they have produced a survey for distribution to provide them with data. (see button below) Completed surveys will be sent directly to Hampshire County Council. The closing date is June 16. A spokesperson said: "Nothing is guaranteed, but both Twyford and Colden Common Parish Councils are committed to doing what we can to ensure our residents' views and voices are heard. Please help us by filling in the survey honestly with your travel needs. Any potential service will require funding to be secured. Please ask any young people in your household to fill in the survey, especially if they are moving to further education in September, when their travel needs will change." The survey can be found at twyfordhants.org.uk.
