Why aren't the CLA and the NFU arguing for a solution to the inheritance argument that will protect genuine family-owned farms but stop the tax avoiders in their tracks?
As senior members of staff at the Cathedral, we cannot stand by and allow our Dean to be subjected to the unwarranted personal attack and distortion of the truth set out in Mr Lowden’s letter published on 28 November 2024.
Although I’m chairman of the Winchester Cathedral Friends, I write this in a wholly personal capacity. For the record, neither I nor our independent charity have been given details, nor sought any details, of the cathedral staff issues under review by the Bishop of Winchester.
