CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (REDBRIDGE FLYOVER / REDBRIDGE CAUSEWAY] (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION / WIDTH RESTRICTION) (147-56) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2016
Southampton City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT, In accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Council made the following Order on 4th March 2016. 1 The effect of the Order will be to temporarily reduce the speed limit and width restriction as detailed in the schedules below:
Schedule 1 - Temporary Suspension of Permanent Speed Limit
The following entry shall be temporarily suspended from Schedule 11.04 - The City of Southampton (Various Roads) (Speed Limits) (No 1) (Order 2011) for the duration of this Order:

From its junction with Redbridge Road to the boundary of The City Southampton with The Borough of Test Valley

Schedule 2 - Temporary 50mph Speed Limit
mplementation of Temporary Speed Restriction: A Temporary SOmph Speed Limit shall replace above suspended speed restrictions in Schedule 1 for the duration of this Order:

The implementation of a temporary width restriction shall apply for the duration of this Order:

2 The Order is required to allow emergency repairs on the Redbridge Flyover.

3 No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulation 2011 when used in accordance with regulations 3(5) of those regulations.

4 The Order comes into force on 7th March 2016 and it is anticipated that the work will take 4 weeks to complete. The Order will therefore cease to have effect on 4th April 2016 or on completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
