WINCHESTER CATH EDRAL
Draft Instrument Notice - Cathedrals Measure 1999
NOTICE is given that the Council of the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity and of Saint Peter and Saint Paul and of Saint Swithun in Winchester (Winchester Cathedral) has prepared a draft Instrument with the intention of revising the Cathedral's Constitution which was made under the Cathedrals Measure 1999. The objects of the draft Instrument are to:
? Make revisions to reflect changes in custom and practice

? Update references to the legal framework within which the Cathedral operates

? Make revisions to the arrangements relating to the creation of Canons

? Make revisions relating to the composition of the Chapter

? Make revisions to the arrangements for the Community Roll

A copy of the draft Instrument which the Council has prepared to put these changes into effect may be inspected at the Cathedral Office 9 The Close Winchester Hampshire SO23 9LS during normal office hours. Any person may make written representations about the proposed changes and the draft Instrument. Representations should be sent to the Chairman of the Cathedral Council at the Cathedral Office 9 The Close Winchester Hampshire SO23 9LS and must be received by Sunday 7th December 2014. The Council will consider any representations received before deciding whether to make the Instrument in the published or in an amended form.
