THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (QUEENS PARK)
ORDER (NO 2) 2014
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT SOUTHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL made the above Order on 2nd June 2014.
1 The effects of the Order are:
(a) To introduce No Waiting at Any Time restrictions in the following length of roads in place of No Waiting at Any Time 8am to 8pm, Mon to Sat and 1pm to 6pm, Sun:
Lower Canal Walk: east side, from Town Quay northwards for 10m.
Platform Road: south side, from its junction with Town Quay eastwards for 15m.
Town Quay: north side, from Orchard Place westwards to Lower Canal Walk (also partly in place of Grey Code Pay & Display parking 8am to 8pm, Mon to Sat and 1pm to 6pm, Sun) and south side, from the Royal Pier entrance eastwards to the access to Town Quay and from 106 metres east of the access to Town Quay to its junction with Platform Road.
(b) To remove all waiting restrictions in Latimer Street: (through Queens Park): both sides, from Queen's Terrace to Platform Road with its conversion to a footpath.
(c) To introduce Green Code Pay & Display Parking 8am to 8pm, Mon to Satand 1pm to 6pm, Sun in the following lengths of road:
Lower Canal Walk: east side, from 10m north of Town Quay northwards for 7.5m (3 bays echelon), from 23.5m north of Town Quay northwards for 11m (two bays parallel) and from 37m north of Town Quay northwards for 11m (2 bays parallel) - please note the two disabled parking bays on the east side of Lower Canal Walk will be moved 10m northwards.
Queen's Terrace: north side, from 87m west of Latimer Street westwards for 27.5m (5 bays parallel) and south side 28.5m west of Latimer Street westwards for 82.5m (15 bays parallel).
(d) To introduce Green Code Pay & Display Parking 8am to 8pm, Mon to Satand 1pm to 6pm, Sun (with an exemption for Permit Holders Zone A, if approved) in Platform Road: south side, from 30m west of Dock Gate 4 westwards for 33m (6 bays parallel).
(e) To introduce a Motorcycle parking place in Queen's Terrace: north side, from 82m westofLatimer Streetwestwards for 5m.
(f) To close the Queen's Terrace car park for its planned conversion to park land (30th June).
NOTE: The following proposalwillno longerproceed as partof this Order:
To introduce Loading/Unloading by Goods Vehicles Only, Max 30 mins, at Any Time in place of No Waiting at Any Time in Terminus Terrace: west side, from 1m north of Queen's Terrace northwards for 15m.
2 The Order comes into operation on 9th June 2014 with the exception of the Queen's Terrace car park closure which will take place on 30th June 2014.

4 Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers ofthe relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of the Order, make application for this purpose to the High Court.
