(OAKLEY ROAD) (ROAD CLOSURE) (040-45)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2014
Southampton City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the Council made the following Order on 12th May 2014.
1 The effect of the Order will be to close Oakley Road from its junction with Wimpson Lane to its junction with Tebourba Way.
2 The Order is required to allow emergency cable replacement works to be carried out.
3 The alternative route will be via Tebourba Way, Romsey Road, Redbridge Hill, Wimpson Lane and vice versa.
4 The Order comes into force on 14th May 2014 and it is anticipated that the work will take 6 weeks to complete. The Order will therefore cease to have effect on 20th June 2014 or on completion of the works, whichever is later.
