Report of Local Government Ombudsman
The Local Government Ombudsman has issued a report following her investigation of a complaint against Isle of Wight Council. The complaint was about a Housing matter. The Ombudsman found that there had been a fault on the part of the Council, and this had caused injustice to the complainant.
The Council must now consider the report and tell the Ombudsman within three months (or such longer period as she may agree) what it proposes to do.
Copies of the report will be available for public inspection during normal office hours at Isle of Wight Council, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD and on the council's website www.iwight.com/lgoreport for three weeks starting on 31 January 2014. Anyone is entitled to take copies of the report or extracts from it. Copies will be supplied at a reasonable charge.
