CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (SALTMARSH ROAD) (PARTIAL ROAD CLOSURE) (125-34) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2013
Southampton City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the Council made the following Order on 25th November 2013.
1 The effect ofthe Order will be to close Saltmarsh Road northbound from its junction with Royal Crescent Road to its junction with Central Bridge.
2 The Order is required to facilitate the movement of traffic during the morning peak period.
3 The alternative route will be via Canute Road, Platform Road, Orchard Place, Queens Terrace, Terminus Terrace, Bernard Street, Threefield Lane, Marsh Lane, Terminus Terrace and Central Bridge.
4 The Order comes into force on 27th November 2013 (between 06:00 hours to 10:00 hours) and it is anticipated that the work will take 11 weeks to complete. The Order will therefore cease to have effect on 10th February 2014 or on completion of the works, whichever is later.
