CGI of the Lidl proposed for Banister Road, Southampton
The proposed Lidl at Banister Road is not good for the community. Supermarkets are places of business without soul and we have too many supermarkets already.
The 40 new jobs will most likely be low-skilled and poorly paid.
What is needed is a business park for small businesses which will provide opportunities for skills development and general trade in the area without the traffic jam.
Beware Greeks bearing gifts (or in this case Germans?)
I’m saying no to Lidl!
