ON VISITING the town centre, it was quite shocking to see the amount of chewing gum on the pavements.
What, I wonder, would our many visitors think?
Maybe the city council should contact the city council of Peterborough and take note of how they deal with people who drop litter and cycle along their Bridge Street precinct – they stop and fine them.
They name and shame them.
The last 12 people have been find £440 each when they went to court.
This would be a great idea here.
