WITH wet and wintry conditions returning, Blackfield & Langley have had to put their championship champagne on ice.
Leading Andover Town by a superior goal difference of 30, the Watersiders have all but claimed the Sydenhams Premier crown.
But their hopes of nailing the title down definitively were scuppered by the rain at Brockenhurst last Friday night.
They must now wait for the rearranged game at Grigg Lane this Friday (May 4, 7.45pm) for the celebrations to begin – always assuming Brock don’t hammer them 31-0!
Andover will be looking for some consolation silverware tomorrow (Tuesday) when they host Wessex One outfit AFC Stoneham in the Russell Cotes Cup final.
Kick-off at The Portway Stadium is 7.45pm.
