QK Southampton are looking to appoint a new chairman as the current incumbent Wayne Snelgrove prepares to step down due to work commitments.

Lordshill-based QK have been under the leadership of local businessman Snelgrove for the last two years, with many improvements taking over this time.

However, he has decided to call time on his stay.

QK secretary Don Campbell said: "We are looking for an individual with a love of the game and the interest to drive on a number of projects at our ambitious club.

"The candidate should have the capability to lead us forward. We are seeking someone who can help us fundraise and obtain sponsorship.

"The successful person would be ably supported by our hard working and loyal club committee."

Campbell added: "We would also like to acknowledge the great progress the club has made under Wayne Snelgrove’s term as chairman and thank him for his efforts."

FA Community Charter standard club, QK Southampton run senior men’s teams in the Puma Engineering Hampshire Premier League, a women’s team at county level and have a large number of youth teams from 7-16 years of age.
