HEAVY rain has forced Eastleigh FC to postpone today's match against Ebbsfleet United.
A pitch inspection this morning found the pitch too wet to play on, and with torrential rain forecast for the rest of the day, the decision was taken to call the game off.
An Eastleigh FC statement says: "This morning, the pitch was inspected by an FA-approved official, and was deemed too wet to play on in parts.
"With conditions due to worsen throughout the day, the decision was made to postpone the game early enough so as to not impact on travel plans for supporters and the safety of players."
