EASTLEIGH crashed to a third successive defeat tonight.

Ayo Obileye equalised with a penalty on the stroke of half-time, but the Spitfires conceded two second-half goals at Maidenhead.

Sam Matthews threatened in the ninth minute for the visitors but after beating two defenders he was denied by the Maidenhead goalkeeper.

Eastleigh were behind in the 21st minute when Maidenhead striker Moses Emmanuel capitalised after latching on to a flick on.

Sam Togwell had a chance to equalise in the 34th minute, shortly after Harry Pritchard’s attempted lob landed on the roof of Graham Stack’s net.

But with the ball bobbling in the goalmouth, the midfielder’s stabbed effort was blocked.

No matter.

Obileye’s seventh goal of the season, his third penalty and second against Maidenhead, restored parity after Paul McCallum was fouled.

Eastleigh captain Ryan Cresswell was denied by goalkeeper Carl Pentney in the 55th minute – and Maidenhead were back in front within 60 seconds.

Striker Sean Marks stabbed in the home side’s second from close range and Pritchard made it two goals in four minutes direct from a corner.
