TONY Lee has given AFC Totton a massive boost heading into Monday's (3pm) Evo-Stik South West derby at Winchester City.
The young marksman has agreed a permanent deal with the Stags after parting company with Poole Town.
Having initially signed for Totton during the summer, ex-Eastleigh man Lee chose to test himself at National League South level when Poole boss Tom Killick came calling.
But, with games hard to come by at Tatnam, he joined the Stags on loan in early October and has forged a promising partnership with Craig Feeney up top.
“Tony’s come to us and done reasonably well,” said Totton boss Louis Langdown. “He’s in an environment he likes and he’s among friends.”
Whether Lee features at Winchester remains to be seen, having suffered a hairline fracture of the ankle just before Christmas.
“He’s very keen to play, but we might need to manage that,” said a cautious Langdown.
“It was only last week that he was in a moon boot and on crutches. The fracture is hairline, but it still takes time to heal.”
Saints, Eastleigh, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Reading season-ticket holders can watch Monday's New Year showdown for a knockdown price of £5 and it's free for under-16s.
