George Bailey’s Hobart Hurricanes are one win from their maiden Big Bash title after a stunning semi-final win against Perth Scorchers.
Hampshire’s four-day skipper oversaw a 71-run win against the Scorchers at the WACA.
Batting at three, he made a 15-ball 17 as Hobart made 210-4 after losing the toss.
His innings including a top-edged six against Mitchell Marsh before he spiced a delivery from Tim Bresnan to mid-off.
Then he ran out Ashton Turner, a graduate of the Ageas Bowl-based International Cricket Academy, with a direct hit from mid-off as Perth Scorchers were bowled out for 139 in reply.
