OLI Bromby has a hot date in Italy next month.
The Southampton AC sprinter is among the first wave selections for the European Junior Athletics Championships in Grosseto from July 20-23.
The 19-year-old, Shirley-based 100 metres man has also been selected for the Mannheim International in Germany on July 1-2.
Bromby sits second in the British under-20 men’s rankings behind Croydon whizz-kid Romell Glave.
Both reeled off personal bests at the weekend’s England National U20/U23 National Championships in Bedford, with Bromby clocking 10.31 seconds behind 17-year-old Glave’s 10.21.
Also selected for both Grosseto and Mannheim is Basingstoke & Mid Hants’ 400m ace Owen Richardson, son of former Reading and Basingstoke Town footballer Steve.
