CHERRIES boss Andoni Iraola is set to miss their home clash against Saints through suspension after receiving his third yellow card of the season.
Iraola achieved the suspension when he was booked in AFC Bournemouth's 3-0 defeat against Liverpool on Saturday.
Premier League rules stipulate that managers and coaches will receive a touchline ban when they rack up three yellow cards. The threshold for players is five.
It means he will now miss the game between Cherries and Southampton on Monday, September 30.
Spaniard Iraola claimed the booking was "confusing" as he had asked the officials for an offside, rather than a yellow card.
He explained: "There has been a misunderstanding. They booked me because I asked for a yellow card, and I was asking just for offside. They [the players] haven’t done one foul, nothing, to ask for a yellow card. He told me ‘you cannot ask for a yellow card’.”
