SAINTS admins had the last laugh after Watford's "salty" social media update of the 99th-minute winner scored by Flynn Downes.
Russell Martin's side kept alive their Championship top two hopes with the late 3-2 win against the Hornets at St Mary's.
Downes, 25, appeared to handle the ball as he controlled it to prod in the final goal with one of the very last touches of the game.
Watford's official X account posted: "Goal. Southampton. Downes controls it (with what looks like his hand) and puts it past Dan Bachmann."
At full-time, Southampton's account took the chance to remind Watford of an incident that took place in January 2018.

Former Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure handled a 90th-minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw at Vicarage Road.
James Ward-Prowse had given Saints a two-goal lead before Andre Gray pulled one back in the second half.
Saints went on to survive relegation from the Premier League by just three points, at the expense of Swansea City.
Speaking at St Mary's this weekend, Watford interim head coach Tom Cleverley admitted his frustration at the refereeing decisions.
However, he said: "I will never, ever have a go for genuine mistakes. The handball is a genuine mistake.
"I'm disappointed the corner was taken in the 99th minute. I am struggling to see how we've led to that after the 98th minute."
