SEVEN Saints players have been called up to senior national team camps for the March international break.

For those who have not been selected by their country, the international break will serve as the last respite before a chaotic run-in.

Southampton are scheduled to play their final 10 games of the season in just 36 days, starting with their home fixture against Middlesborough on Friday, March 29.

Here is a full rundown of who has been called up this month and who they will face...

Republic of Ireland

The Republic of Ireland has the largest contingent of fit senior internationals and players in the Southampton squad, but have only selected two of a possible three this month.

Gavin Bazunu and Will Smallbone have been included in interim boss John O'Shea's squad to face Belgium and Switzerland at home.

Full-back Ryan Manning has not been included in the camp which also includes Championship top goalscorer Sammie Szmodics.

Bazunu has started eight of Ireland's last nine matches but could lose his spot between the sticks to Liverpool's Caoimhin Kelleher, who has impressed in the Premier League in Alisson Becker's absence.

Scotland

Forward Che Adams has been called back to the Scotland squad having been replaced by Heart's Lawrence Shankland during November's international window.

Stuart Armstrong has also been included in Steve Clarke's 25-man squad alongside Andy Robertson, Scott McTominay and John McGinn.

Scotland, who have qualified for this summer's European Championship in Germany, are scheduled to face the Netherlands at the Johan Cruijff ArenA and Northern Ireland Hampden Park.

For Adams, this camp is a chance to ensure he shoots back to first-choice striker ahead of their opening Euros game against Germany in Munich.

Wales

Loanee David Brooks has been included in Rob Page's squad for Wales' Euro qualifying playoff campaign.

Wales must beat Finland at the Cardiff City Stadium to set up a home playoff final against either Poland or Estonia.

Brooks will link up with a number of Leicester, Ipswich, and Leeds players with whom he is competing for promotion.

Poland

As outlined, Jan Bednarek's Poland are also in playoff action and must beat Estonia at the PGE Narodowy Stadium to progress to the final.

The winner of Wales and Poland's playoff path will enter Group D alongside the Netherlands, Austria, and France.

Northern Ireland

Midfielder Shea Charles may not be a regular for Saints yet having joined in the summer but the 20 year old has established himself as a key player for Northern Ireland.

He's been selected in Michael O'Neill's side, who are slated to face Romania and Scotland in away international friendlies.

Not selected for senior squads:

Having been a part of the Super Eagles side that lost the Africa Cup of Nations final, Joe Aribo has not been included in their squad this month.

The break will allow Aribo a chance to recharge having come straight back into the Saints team post AFCON.
