HAMPSHIRE leg-spinner Mason Crane has joined Glamorgan on a season-long loan and will be available across all formats during his time at Sophia Gardens.

Crane has made a total of 154 appearances for Hampshire since making his debut in 2015, helping the club to two trophies along the way.

Crane has picked up 125 first-class wickets, 79 List A wickets, and 95 wickets in T20's during his career.

Hampshire director of cricket, Giles White said: "Mason hasn’t had the game time here at Hampshire over the last couple of years.

"Time with Glamorgan offers him the opportunity to play first XI cricket across the formats.

"Having had many conversations with him, we both feel that this is the best for his career and the development of his game.

"The deal is structured in a way that allows his return if we need him later in the season.”

He made his test debut for England during the 2017-18 Ashes series in Australia and has also represented his country in two T20 internationals.

On signing for Glamorgan, Crane said: “I’m very thankful for the opportunity at Glamorgan and incredibly excited to get to work and push towards a successful season with the team.”
