SAINTS midfielder Stuart Armstrong has been nominated for the Championship player of the month award for the first time.
The Scotland international is up for the January award after registering three assists in as many matches.
Armstrong, 31, helped Saints to 4-0 and 3-1 wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City respectively.
He set up goals for Jan Bednarek, Will Smallbone and Flynn Downes to help extend Southampton's unbeaten run.
Watford goalkeeper Ben Hamer is also nominated and had his own personal highlights reel in January with a series of stunning saves.
He showcased his athleticism and reactions in each one of Watford’s four games, allowing Valerien Ismael’s side to go through the month unbeaten.
Leeds winger Dan James contributed three assists with pinpoint crosses while contributing three goals to a perfect month for the Whites.
Plymouth talisman Morgan Whittaker poached three goals and added two assists in a month that also saw new boss Ian Foster nominated.
All winners are set to be announced on Friday, February 9, with the judging panel comprised of former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
