THREE Saints players have been named in the Sky Bet Championship team of the week following their 4-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Manager Russell Martin has also been selected as manager of the week after his side equalled their record Football League unbeaten run.

Adam Armstrong and Ryan Fraser have been included in the team, which is based on the highest-rated players on Whoscored, after their goalscoring roles.

Armstrong, 26, also set up Southampton's three other goals - although he was not officially credited with the assist for Che Adams'ย opener.

Former Scotland international Frasers' goal was his fifth in his last four games at St Mary's, following braces against Walsall and Swansea.

Defender Kyle Walker-Peters was also named in the team of the week once again.

The right-back completed the most dribbles (three) and won the most duels (eight) of any players on the pitch.

Walker-Peters remains Southampton's only outfield player to play every minute in the Championship this season.

Full Championship team of the week:

Hamer, Walker-Peters, Rose, Duffy, Hughes, O'Hare, Livermore, Rutter, Armstrong, Thomas-Asante, Fraser.
